HealthShare Credit Union is proud to offer four $1,000 scholarships to exceptional high school seniors in the local community. These scholarships are designed to support students pursuing higher education in accredited two- or four-year post-secondary institutions.
Eligibility:
- Must be a high school senior
- Must be a member with an active account at HealthShare Credit Union
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- Enrolling as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college or university for the upcoming school year
Application Process:
Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Letter of Recommendation:Include a letter of recommendation from a current or past teacher.
- Academic Ability:Provide your most recent North Carolina high school transcript, including GPA (minimum GPA of 3.0 required).
- Writing Ability:Submit an original essay on the specified topic.
- School Activities:List all school activities, highlighting any leadership roles and explaining the most meaningful one.
- Community Activities:List your community involvements, leadership positions, and share which activity had the greatest impact on you.
Ensure all required documents are submitted together with the application. Incomplete or separate submissions will not be considered.
Submission Deadline: All applications and required documentation must reach our office at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, 1200 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, by December 31, 2024.
Notification: Successful scholarship recipients will be notified on or before March 3, 2025. A recognition event will be held during the annual Credit Union meeting in March 2025.
